Berlin to Munich

Saturday was our travel day. We arrived at Hauptbahnhof Berlin at 9:00 with time to pick up lunch before our 9:37 train.

Halle Hauptbahnhof

We rode through several well know cities including Nuremberg and Bamberg on our way to München.

The closer we got to Munich, the more plentiful the fields of hops became.

We arrived at 2:07 PM and picked up our rental car before heading to the old town for a walk around followed by a biergarten for a late lunch.

We drove an hour and a half to our holiday home, stopping along the way to pick up groceries as stores would be closed the next day, being a Sunday.

After checking in with our super cool and gracious hosts, who live next door, we crossed the street and came to the River Lech, which is a stunning light teal green.

We walked a few minutes down stream and came across a little biergarten and boat rental spot.

After a few beers for us and ice cream for the boys, we settled into our home away from home looking forward to a the next week in this stunning area.
