Hi, I’m Shannon. A left-brain, facts and figures kind of gal.
I purposely avoid writing most things except lists and budgets. However, I love reading…I’m usually juggling both a fiction and a self-help book. Along with reading books, I usually take a daily walk while listening to a podcast on lifestyle improvement kind-of- stuff.
I’ve realized that sometimes you need to get uncomfortable. So besides writing this blog, I’ve begun a journey to a new life in a new country with my family. Talk about nail biting uncomfortable, literally.
This is a big leap for a girl who grew up on a dairy farm in the sticks. Going to DC for college was a big deal. To me and to a lot of the folks back home. I’m from people who stay put. For generations. Who may leave, but who eventually come back. My life has been different. I’ve had 15 addresses in 25 years in eight cities.
Since I’ve intentionally ended my relationship with most social media, I use this platform to stay connected with those dear to me.
My guiding principles are 1) to be honest and open, 2) to be brief and 3) to have fun.
I could use some practice with each.
