Does living in a new country expose you to new things? Of course.
Could exposure to new germs make a family more sick than normal? That’s what I’ve been wondering.
What I do know, with the exception of Dave, our family has been more sick this year than any other year.
In the past two weeks alone, boys both had slight fevers, enough to keep them home from school for three days. Then I got the cold for almost a week.
On Monday, I had to pick Isaac up early from school as he was vomiting. Which turned into an entire day of sickness. The next night, Ben was stricken with the stomach bug. The following night, I faced my “spring detox”, putting me down for three days, including two straight days of a diet consisting exclusively of water and miso soup.
But we are back on our feet again. Hopeful that springtime will bring with it only an occasional bout of allergies.
