Gärten der Welt

Last Saturday, Dave and I split up and each took one son on separate outings.

Dave took Isaac to our neighborhood mall, Schönhauser Allee Arkaden, where Isaac got a stuffed animal polar bear and had lunch at Burger King (a new favorite of the boys).

They then took the train one stop to Gesundbrunnen and went to the park, Volkspark Humboldthain, there. At the park, they went to several playgrounds and climbed up to the Flak Tower III, which is the remains of a WWII anti-Aircraft gun blockhouse tower.

Meanwhile, Ben and I headed east to Gärten der Welt, Gardens of the World.

{Whale Playground}

The big draw was to go to a whale playground, which we found on the website, http://www.berlin-playgrounds.de.

But we soon discovered more to the gardens.

{Giant Hammock}

{Trampolines}

Ben liked walking really fast on the labyrinth. I had told him that it was meditative, so he asked how? I prompted him to pay attention to each foot step. He slowed down, went within and finally emerged thrilled with the experience. ❤️ Mini-meditator.
