Six Months

We recently celebrated our first six months in Berlin. This is the longest the boys and I have been out of the country at one time.

Quite a lot has happened as I’ve written in previous posts. And quite recently, we’ve had more unique adventures. And have done things we used to do in the States.

{We’ve found the toy stores}

{We’ve visited the Aquarium and both Zoos}

{We’ve had our first snow}

We’ve gone back to Atlanta for a visit:

{Besties reunited}{Dinner at Aunt Tina’s}{Mutti and her big boy}{Dinner out with family from Atlanta, Philadelphia and California}{Intense chess game with Pop Pop}{Bowling Party with old friends}

And we returned jet lagged struggling to get back into the swing of things.

The next six months will be filled with:

  • Shannon passing both the theory and practical driving exams and then resuming a German language course.
  • The boys continuing to learn German and integrate into their schools.
  • Isaac getting ready to start the first grade in the big school.
  • Ben getting ready to start the third grade and the beginning of homework and grades.
  • Dave continuing to grow his organization and finding space outside our bedroom in which to work.
  • Us moving into a larger apartment with two toilets and a third bedroom in which Dave can work.

All in all, we’ve felt grateful to be here and to have this experience. And realize the future is truly unknown.
