{We ❤️ Berlin}
The heat returned after a cooler day or two and after a busy weekend with Uncle Sam, today was a day to take it easy.
I headed to an USC (Urban Sports Club) class this morning.
{Feldenkrais class}
The class was in German and very new to me. Feldenkrais. It’s a method that uses gentle, mindful movement to bring new awareness to the body to help with pain, etc.
Luckily, there a was another native English speaking student and the class was small so the teacher would repeat the instructions in English for us.
My neck and shoulders felt better. I may try it again.
My approach to most new social/entertainment experiences here is to expect the reality to be different than my expected outcome so that if something works out, great. If not, I try to view it as a learning opportunity. Life seems easier this way in a new country and culture. Eventually, I’ll figure things out. And that’s ok. Sometimes, I’m not this Zen (as Dave can agree), but I’m trying.
After class, I swung by The Juicery, my favorite smoothie shop (so far) in Berlin. Dave and I have been before and agree it’s wonderful.

I biked home through Mauer Park and checked in on the family.

The boys were watching shows and Dave was working.
{chill out day}
I popped into Rewe with some bottles to recycle, which yielded €3.80, and picked up a few items.
The rest of the day was spent eating, doing chores and catching up on Quicken and emails.
{lazy day}
The boys and I had dinner at home while Dave went to three stores looking for fans. None to be had, except for the expensive Dyson fans and some mini fans that plug into the USB connector. He bought two of those. Not sure if they’ll really help or just have a placebo effect. Either way, we were grateful. Tomorrow is going to reach 95!
{refreshing watermelon}
At least we have some luscious watermelon to eat. Cold showers, mini fans and cross ventilation will be the best we can do.
