(Wall Park Flea Market Sunday)
Being cooler, Sam and I took a bike ride through Prenzlauer Berg and Mitte while Dave took the boys to the rainbow playground at Mauer Park, a 10 minute walk from our apartment.

{more fun in the sand}
After our ride, we met Dave at the playground. We then browsed the flea market. I got a fanny pack and sunglasses and Sam picked up a present for a friend, an original painting of Berlin by an architect who now does art instead and an Ampelmann T.

We then browsed the food stands and brought back lunch.
{BBQ, vegan curry, empanadas, arepa and radlers for lunch from Mauerpark}
Afterwards, we all needed a break and chilled at the apartment for a few hours.
Later that evening, we walked and scooted 0.3 of a mile to a Biergarten for dinner. It was definitely a local’s spot and felt quite hipster.

{Emil’s Biergarten}
We had Emil’s Schwartz Bier (black Beer) and Hefeweißen. And pizza. 👍🏼 on both the pizza and the beer. We’ll def head back another time.
One of our favorite ice cream shop’s has a second location just a quick walk from Emil’s, so we went there for dessert.
{Eispatisserie Hokey Pokey}
We then discovered a new playground just north of there and let the boys play for a while.

{Masuren Spielplatz}
{Uncle Sam and a tired Isaac}
We took a tram home a get the sandy boys into showers and ready for bed.
We were happy to have discovered more of Berlin near our apartment.
