Since we had gone to bed earlier than normal the night before, we both took yoga in the morning. Dave first at 8:30, with my class at 10:00.
The boys slept in and were surprisingly happy when they woke, despite the heat wave.

Using Urban Sports Club, I found a Yoga class in English only 6 minutes away by bike at Kalaa Yoga.

The class was thankfully, since I was still sore from Tuesday night’s punishing class, a sane 75 minutes long. It started out slow, but I could tell I was not in my prior yoga shape and with the heat wave, I was sweating a lot.
But I felt better afterwards and was glad to have gone.

Afterwards, I swung by Rewe and picked up groceries including a yellow watermelon, which the boys loved. And some more Saturn peaches. The fruit and produce are truly wonderful here, especially this time of year.
After lunch, the boys and I headed out on an epic journey to a trampoline and Parkour park. Epic, because it took an hour, via two trains and a bus, to get there. Thankfully the bus was air conditioned. Unfortunately, the fun park was not.

We headed home and daddy was right outside the apartment door with his bike about to go to DM (drug store) to pick up some things. I got the mail and had a notice that two Amazon packages had been delivered to a store down the street as we weren’t reachable. I sent the info and picture of the notice to Dave to ask him to pick them up. They were huge, but lightweight. They were flower boxes for our terrace. My plan is to full then with red geraniums once we get back from England next month.

In the meantime, a VERY special visitor arrived at our apartment. Uncle Sam! He’s been in Paris doing some work and flew to Berlin to visit us over a long weekend. The boys were thrilled!! And so were their parents.
After greetings, presents and some coaxing, we headed out to dinner at a Spanish restaurant a few blocks away that was across the street from two playgrounds. Perfect!

It was getting late, so I left before the check came with Isaac to get him a shower and ready for bed.
It was soooo hot in the apartment. He took a cool bath/shower, slipped on his undies and cuddled in our bed as I got ready for bed. He was asleep before Dave, Sam and Ben got home.
We tried as best we could to cool things down with cross ventilation, but it was still hot. And since we are in a pretty hip part of town and it was Friday night, we chose to keep the windows open despite the noise.
We all hope it cools down soon. We have all been cranky and the kids have been extra sensitive.
